My photo
My husband always says, "Tracie can work hard all day out in the yard/field/garden, then I can hose her off and take her out for a night on the town." I think it's a compliment....We've been married for 22 years and have lived with our three sons on a small farm in Sandpoint the entire time. Originally a Southern california girl, I love the outdoors in any season so Sandpoint is an awesome place to live. I love to hit the yard sale scene, pick up vintage do-dads here and there, repurpose, create and reuse. Bella Pink is my reinvention.

Different Drummers

I've have had a great morning!
I am drying more pears so the house smells sweet. I have Christmas music on. I am decorating for the Home for the Holidays show so I needed some inspiration. Making a playlist for the show of fun Christmas tunes....
Don and Lyle drove up from Liberty Lake. They are the authors of the book Different Drummers. They will be here for the show. It was the first time that I had met them, what warm and fun guys. I am thrilled that they are willing to be a part of the show. Thanx Maria for the idea....I can't wait to see you!

It's a beautiful, sunny Monday. The weekend flew by and I was feeling like I didn't get a lot of preparations for the show finished. Today the sun has thoroughly energized me.

Countdown to the Home for the Holidays show...

  • mail all postcards and hang flyers
  • email to "vendors"
  • cut boughs
  • decorate, decorate, decorate!!
  • decide on recipes for the hors d' oeuvres
Enjoy the sunshine today, I hear there may be snow later in the week.

November Countdown

These first days of November are beautiful. They have me wanting to spend time outside rather than indoors on Home for the Holidays projects like I should be. So I split my time: cold in the AM, work in the house, design T-shirts, make stencils for the luminaria, oh housework, and think Bella all the time. Warm in the PM, work in the flower beds, build stars for house decoration, hang lights on the big tree, sort MORE Christmas lights and walk around on beaches with Shari looking for driftwood ?!?
Diane(Gardening Angels) and I are brainstorming about our Christmas wreaths for the show. We're also going to put together Thanksgiving table centerpieces.....
Oh, there goes the dryer.....have a Bella day!!

The November countdown...

It's November first! We made it through Halloween, with all 2 of our trick or treaters...whew!! It was a beautiful, sunny day so I was able to finish the rest of my yard work. I went out and cut some boughs for decorating the deck railing and for constructing my wreath snow man.
I am so excited for the show. There will be some wonderful items there for sale, some one-of-a-kind!! I may have to hold myself back from shopping.
I could not do this without the tireless enthusiasm of Shari. She is an inspiration and a generous contributor to the idea pool! And the help of my somewhat stubborn but creative son Cody.
I am so blessed!!

Snow, snow, snow....yeah!!

Yesterday I talked with Diane from Gardening Angels. We've added Christmas wreaths to our repetoire. Looks like the Home for the Holidays show is going to be one stop shopping for all of your Christmas needs.

I got to have some lunch at Jalapenos (love that Chicken Cilantro) with Nancy, Pam and Alice and we talked all things Home for the Holidays. Pam brought along her bracelets and let me just tell you, get there early because I think they will be a sell out.

Enjoy the snow, no one flake is ever the same. (How do they know that?!)

Exciting news in Bella Pink land! We are adding to our growing numbers at the Home for the Holidays show. After a great, long visit with my friend Maria, she suggested her Lyle come up for a book signing during the home show. I thought it to be the perfect addition! Please check out www.different-drummers-the-book.com. It looks like both of the authors will be here, plus Maria, sho you will love.

Enjoy the sunshine...snow is on the way!!
